Healthy Nutrition for Breast Cancer Patients

Why is healthy food important?
Adhering to a healthy diet for a breast cancer patient is an important role in maintaining body vitality, tissue division, rapid wound healing, and reducing infection in the body.
It also reduces the risk of immunodeficiency that occurs after taking chemotherapy doses.

*What are the types of healthy food to raise immunity?
The vitamins and minerals necessary to strengthen health and immunity must be taken daily, which are available in the following nutrients:

- Foods rich in vitamin C (vitamin C), such as:
* Citrus fruits: (such as oranges, tangerines, lemons, strawberries, guava, and colored sweet peppers), and some vegetables such as (broccoli and spinach).
*Foods rich in vitamin A
Such as: (carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkin, mango, cranberries, liver), as well as dark vegetables such as (arugula, and spinach).

*Foods rich in zinc
Such as: red meat, and legumes such as: (lentils, chickpeas, beans, dairy products, eggs, and nuts).

*Foods rich in Omega 3
Such as: (olive oil, chia seeds, and flax seeds), as well as fish such as: (mackerel, and tuna).
*Foods rich in Vitamin D such as: (meat, fish, vegetable proteins, and dairy products). Vitamin D helps the body strengthen its immunity and maintain bone health.

You must be exposed to direct sunlight for a period of no less than 15 minutes daily between 10 am and 3 pm.
*General precautions that must be followed
- Wash vegetables and fruits well with water for 10 minutes, then rinse them with water.
- Ensure that meat and fish are well cooked over low heat.
- Food must be cooked in healthy utensils.
- Eat fresh, home-made meals.
