Al-Futtaim Real Estate, a subsidiary of Al-Futtaim Group, signed a cooperation agreement with Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Breast Cancer Treatment.

This agreement comes as part of Al-Futtaim Group's commitment to its role in community service and its belief in the work of the Baheya Foundation, as the first in Egypt to work on preserving the health of Egyptian women and fighting breast cancer.

The signing of the protocol was witnessed at the group's headquarters in the Fifth Settlement by Engineer Ashraf Ezz, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Real Estate, Ms. Laila Salem, Member of the Board of Trustees of Baheya Foundation and granddaughter of Baheya, and Dr. Jilan Ahmed, Executive Director of Baheya Foundation.

During the signing ceremony, Engineer Ashraf عز الدين said: "We are proud to announce our support for Baheya Foundation to continue its journey in providing free treatment to Egyptian fighters, and to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer, as women are the backbone of the family, and they also play a pivotal role in the renaissance and building of societies. This is in line with the group's strategy and the fulfillment of its social responsibility, especially since health care is an essential part of supporting and flourishing of peoples."

For her part, Ms. Laila Salem expressed her gratitude for such contributions, saying: "We are proud that a leading entity such as Al-Futtaim Group pays great attention to community work and puts it at the top of its priorities, and provides support to Egyptian fighters to overcome breast cancer. For our part, we are proud of the great role we play in Baheya in supporting the health of Egyptian women, early detection and treatment of breast cancer for free according to the best international standards."

Dr. Jilan Ahmed also expressed her great happiness and pride in every new step taken by the institution thanks to its supporters and lovers, presenting all thanks and appreciation to Al-Futtaim Group for its contribution to the success of Baheya's message so that it always remains in the back of every Egyptian woman.

As part of this fruitful agreement, Al-Futtaim Real Estate is launching an initiative aimed at raising awareness among the female segment of the residents and employees of Cairo Festival City about the importance of early detection, where they will all participate in visiting Baheya Hospital to conduct early detection of breast cancer, which encourages them to take care of their health.

On the other hand, Al-Futtaim Real Estate always strives to carry out various activities that enhance its role towards health and women. Al-Futtaim Real Estate hosted the "RUN FOR A CURE" marathon events, in cooperation with Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Breast Cancer Treatment, last March, to raise awareness among women about the early detection of cancer, and all proceeds from the marathon events were directed to support Baheya Foundation.

This agreement comes as part of Baheya Foundation's keenness to provide the best medical care for breast cancer patients and to make the most of the latest technologies.
