Natural Therapy
natural therapy
Physiotherapy is carried out at Baheya Foundation under the supervision of a physiotherapist for cases of breast tumors.
*What is the importance of physical therapy?
- It helps avoid swelling of the arm resulting from the removal of the lymph nodes under the armpit near the affected breast, as well as helping to treat swelling if it appears.
- It prevents stiffness in the shoulder joint and maintains the range of motion of the arm toward the affected breast, especially after surgical operations.
- Reducing pain and nerve inflammation resulting from mastectomy and cleaning the lymph nodes.
- Prevents and reduces side effects of various treatments (chemical, hormonal, targeted, immunological, radiation, surgical).
*When does physical therapy start?
It is preferable to start physical therapy after surgical operations in order to avoid the effects resulting from the operation.
Sessions can be conducted at any time during the patient's treatment journey, according to the opinion of the treating physician.
- Physical therapy sessions continue according to the instructions of the physical therapist.
In the case of cleaning the lymph nodes, the following is prohibited for the affected arm:
- Exposure to pricking.
- Superficial wounds.
- Exposure to violence.
- Reducing pain at the site of surgery by exposure to extreme heat.
- Collecting samples
- Insect bites.

- You should consult a doctor.
- Avoid wearing a regular compression garment or compression garment (there are specialized types).
- In case of stings or burns, use burn cream only.
*General precautions:
- Wear loose cotton clothes.
- Avoid exposure to extreme heat or extreme cold.
