Baheya Holds Its Second Medical Conference on the Latest Breast Cancer Treatments

This year's conference builds on the successes of the previous year and serves as a platform that brings together top specialists in the field of breast cancer. This is in line with the institution’s strategy to combat breast cancer and provide the latest treatment methods and medical technologies in this field.
The conference included various workshops in nursing, clinical pharmacy, diagnostic radiology, and physiotherapy, as well as important discussion sessions that highlighted many topics in the field of breast cancer among top specialists.
The conference was attended by numerous prominent organizations specializing in breast cancer and a number of leading experts and specialists in the field. Both Dr. Mohamed Amara, General Manager of Baheya Center for Early Detection and Free Breast Cancer Treatment, and Engineer Tamer Shawky, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Baheya Foundation, delivered welcoming speeches to all attendees.
In this context, Engineer Tamer Shawky commented: "We are delighted with the launch of the second session of the conference, especially after its success last year, which confirms Baheya Foundation’s success in forming a specialized front to discuss all matters related to breast cancer."
Dr. Mohamed Amara added that Baheya is committed to continuing to hold conferences and keep up with the latest developments in this field, applying the latest diagnostic and therapeutic concepts, including the concept of "precision medicine." The conference also showcases the latest medical technologies and treatment methods, emphasizes the importance of exchanging expertise among scientists and specialists, and offers proposals to raise awareness about the necessity of early detection in developing communities to combat and eliminate the disease.
He noted that breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, explaining the benefits of early detection and its role in granting patients longer lives, higher cure rates, and shorter treatment durations.
