Launch of Baheya Hospital's Third Medical Conference

The third medical conference of Baheya Hospital for early detection and free treatment of breast cancer has commenced. The conference focuses on "Modern Methods for Diagnosing and Treating Breast Cancer," with the presence of a distinguished group of oncology specialists this year in Cairo.
Engineer Tamer Shawky, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer, stated that Baheya has successfully formed a specialized front to discuss and treat all matters related to breast cancer. Since its inception in Egypt in 2015, Baheya has received over 100,000 women, thanks to the generous supporters of Baheya from individuals, companies, and institutions.
Dr. Mohamed Amara, General Manager of Baheya Center and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, explained that breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer among women globally. He highlighted the benefits of early detection, which include longer patient survival, higher cure rates, and shorter treatment durations.
Dr. Amara added that this year's conference hosts a distinguished group of scientists from various countries interested in breast cancer across all specialties, including doctors, surgeons, pharmacists, and nursing staff. The conference will feature discussion sessions on the latest global advancements in diagnosing and treating breast cancer, aimed at training all interested parties over the two days - November 21 and 22. The conference also includes different workshops in various fields as follows:
- A workshop on interventional radiology.
- A workshop on clinical pharmacy and chemotherapy.
- A workshop on breast cancer surgery and reconstruction operations.
- A workshop on physical therapy and modern recovery methods from breast cancer.
- A workshop on surgical pathology and the latest methods in diagnosing breast cancer.
- A workshop on nursing and its vital role in supporting patients throughout the different stages of treatment.
