Baheya Hospitals and Medical Centers organized its 8th Breast Cancer Conference, serving as a scientific platform for exchanging expertise and exploring the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment. The conference comes as part of the foundation’s continuous efforts to provide comprehensive care for women and support them throughout their treatment journey, reaffirming its commitment to scientific excellence and practical, patient-centered care.
The conference stood out for its diverse agenda, which included scientific presentations and hands-on workshops. For the first time, a live breast cancer surgery workshop was broadcast directly from the operating rooms at Baheya Hospital, enabling real-time interaction between surgeons and experts, and offering participants direct exposure to the latest surgical treatment techniques.
The main conference activities were held at the Triumph Hotel across multiple halls simultaneously, with the participation of experts and physicians from different specialties, both from Egypt and abroad. The sessions and workshops addressed key topics, including early diagnosis, modern treatment protocols, and the importance of psychological and social support for patients throughout their treatment journey.
The goal of Baheya’s 8th Medical Conference is to facilitate knowledge exchange among physicians and specialists, introduce the latest diagnostic and treatment approaches, and advance medical practices in Egypt and the Arab region. The conference reflects Baheya’s strategy to serve as an integrated scientific platform that combines medical research with practical application, with an emphasis on delivering comprehensive care for women with breast cancer.
Participants included a distinguished group of physicians from Egypt and abroad, along with several officials from Baheya Foundation, including Eng. Tamer Shawqy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Ms. Laila Salem, Board of Trustees Member; Eng. Magid Hamdy, Board Member; Dr. Mohamed Amara, CEO; and Dr. Amgad Hashem, Executive Director of Baheya Al-Haram Center.
