For the third consecutive year, the Baheya Foundation organized a celebration for the 2023 high school graduates from the families of breast cancer fighters.
The event was held at Nile University’s theater, hosted by media personality Abeer El Sheikh, and attended by a group of athletes, media figures, and artists. Among the attendees were Olympic champions Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho and Mohamed Mostafa, Paralympic swimming champion Aya Ayman, and world rally champion Yara Shalaby. Media figures included Tarek Allam, film producer Hisham Suleiman, and comedian Sherif Hosny.
During the event, the Baheya Foundation presented gifts to the high school graduates from the families of cancer fighters.
On this occasion, a representative from Baheya stated that from its inception, the foundation has prioritized psychological support as a fundamental component in the treatment of breast cancer fighters. They emphasized that the children of these fighters are true heroes who deserve recognition and celebration for their extra efforts in supporting their families and dedicating time to their studies.
In her speech at the celebration for the high school students from the families of breast cancer fighters, the representative highlighted that Baheya continuously strives to provide all forms of treatment, especially psychological support, which revitalizes the spirits of the fighters. Therefore, this celebration is part of the psychological support for cancer fighters.
She concluded her remarks by expressing her joy over the significant presence of athletes, media figures, and artists, which demonstrates their respect and acknowledgment of the struggles faced by breast cancer patients. She wished the students a strong and hopeful start to their university journey.
Tamer Shawky, Chairman of Baheya’s Board of Trustees, emphasized that one of the foundation’s priorities is the constant pursuit of their patients’ comfort and happiness, and sharing in their various personal moments. He stressed that “the foundation is not just a hospital or workplace but a family for its staff and visitors,” which positively impacts all the fighters and every Egyptian woman at Baheya by providing them with the best service and care.
