Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, met yesterday with Engineer Tamer Shawky, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Baheya Foundation, Ms. Laila Salem, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Mohamed Fahmy, Member of the Board of Trustees of Baheya, and Dr. Mohamed Amara, CEO of Hospitals, Facilities and Medical Projects of the Foundation, at the Ministry's General Directorate.
During the meeting, the mechanisms for signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Health and Population and the Baheya Foundation were discussed. This collaboration aligns with the Ministry's commitment to providing targeted treatment at the expense of the state or health insurance to facilitate the completion of treatment stages for cancer patients.
The meeting falls within the framework of the Ministry of Health and Population's strategy to enhance the quality of health services provided to cancer patients and in line with the President's initiative to support women's health to reach all women of all ages, raise the quality of medical services, and overcome the obstacles and challenges facing patients during the different stages of treatment.
